Star formation in molecular clouds and the origin of turbulent motions in interstellar gas. Some
problems I have worked on so far include:
- Supernova driven turbulence
- Signatures of the scales of energy injection in the interstellar medium
- The origin of the dense molecular cloud cores mass function
- The origin of the initial stellar mass function and it potential universality
- Instabilities in interstellar gas
- Distances to nearby molecular clouds
