Chandra AEGIS-X Catalogue, v1.1 Please note the following before implementing the X-ray catalogue: 1) Source detection has been carried out in 4 energy bands. These are: - full, detection in 0.5-7.0 keV band, fluxes quoted for 0.5-10 keV - soft, detection in 0.5-2.0 keV band, fluxes quoted for 0.5-2.0 keV - hard, detection in 2.0-7.0 keV band, fluxes quoted for 2.0-10 keV - uhrd, detection in 4.0-7.0 keV band, fluxes quoted for 4.0-10 keV 2) Only sources with positive Poisson probabilities (columns 8, 19, 30 & 41) less than or equal to 4E-6 should be considered a significant detection. Every source listed in the catalogue was found to be significant in at lease one detection band. If the Poisson probability is '-1' then the source was significantly detected in that band. 3) With a false detection probability threshold of 4E-6 we expect there to be 4-8 spurious sources per detection band in the catalogue. 4) The celestial positions have been shifted (simple offset RA and Dec offset) to remove any overall offset with the DEEP2 pcat. 5) Photometry was carried out using 90% encircled energy radius (EER) apertures in each band. 6) The fluxes have been calculated assuming an intrinsic power-law spectrum with Gamma=1.4, and Galactic absorption. 7) The source counts given in columns 54-61 should not be used for photometry. 8) Sources with PHOT_FLAG values of 1 or 2 have problematic photometry. Sources with PHOT_FLAG=1 have another source close by that may have contaminated the detected fluxes. Sources with PHOT_FLAG=2 have another source very nearby. For PHOT_FLAG=2 the fluxes will definitely be contaminated and there is also the possibility that the sources are confused - the positions may be wrong and there may actually only be one source. 9) For sources that do not have a significant counterpart in a particular band then the photometry has been calculated as follows: a) if the 99% confidence lower limit to the counts was > 0 then their counts, fluxes and Poisson probabilities have been calculated and given in the catalogue b) if the 99% confidence lower limit to the counts is <= 0, then the 99% confidence upper limit is given.
